They call us spitters...
Anybody who has ever attended an open mic
has surely heard the term, spitter, used to
describe the style of poetry that has been most
commonly defined as spoken word. In line with
the idea of "spitting," and inspired by Tigress'
debut audio book of poetry entitled "divine flim,"
suggesting that every word from a poet's
tongue is indisputably divine, we have
developed a new concept set featuring those
who "spit" - Divine Phlegm!
The set will be carried out in true open mic
fashion. A list will be circulated at 7:30pm and
closed 8:30pm by our Guest Host,
Comedian/Emcee Extraordinaire Anthony J.
Bean..."first come, first spit." Each poet/spitter
may perform two pieces and nada mas in the
interest of allowing every willing soul an
opportunity to share their work. No fee for
poets/spitters.
$5 Cover Charge. (Applies To All ) Doors open
at 7pm. Show Begins At 8pm.
Self-Service Refreshments Included:
